By Harriet Scott Chessman, Lydia Cassatt Reading the Morning Paper brings 19th century Paris to life as she weaves a beautiful, fictionalized story between Impressionist painter, Mary Cassatt and her sister, Lydia.
This short novel paints a lovely picture of Parisian life particularly that of renowned American artist, Cassatt, and her relationships with the men of the period such as Edgar Degas, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and many others.
Join us virtually on Monday, July 22 at 7:30pm for an in-depth Art History lesson about Cassatt’s life, her work, and what being one of “les trois grandes dames" meant in both the 19th century and today.
$25 per person | RSVP required
Note: This Course will occur virtually so as to accommodate everyone who may be traveling this Summer. You do not need to read the book to enjoy the lesson! A Zoom link will be sent one week prior to the event.
